become a Patron

Patronage in the arts is a very old idea. During the Italian Renaissance, the nobility and wealthy families as well as merchant guilds, civic groups, monasteries, and others were fervent supporters of the arts. Artists were not merely paid for what they did, they were paid for what they could do, and in some cases were taken into the homes of well-to-do families while working on commissions. This enabled the artist to focus on creating the most magnificent art possible, rather than worry about mundane things like how he or she was going to eat, pay rent, and afford supplies until the work was finally done.

my Patreon page

Patreon is a modern twist on the idea of patronage, and lets those of you who aren’t set like the Medici family contribute to the success of artists you appreciate. In return for your monthly support, we provide specialized service, goodies and access to us, in addition to our undying appreciation.

You can become my patron for as little as $2 per month, and enjoy some wonderful fun bonuses for your trouble. Please head over to my Patreon page and check out my support tiers, and click the “join” button on the tier of your choice if you’re so inclined. Thank you!
